Rules
Residence guidelines and regulations
- 1. Each room has a set of 3 keys (room, apartment door and front door)
- 2. Remember to always close all three doors when leaving the residence. Never lock the main front door of the street with the key or you will lock students in & out of the building.
- 3. You can not rent nor sublet your room to anybody.
- 4. Please don't put any posters, stickers etc.. your room or common areas.
- 5. Each student will be assigned a kitchen shelf and space in the fridge for his/her personal use.
- 6. You cannot invite outside people into the residence for overnight stays.
- 7. If you plant to have visitors during your stay you will have to previously book a room for them when available. Bookings will have to be made well in advance and paid in our office beforehand.
- 8. You have to understand that you are sharing an accommodation with other students; this means: cleaning after yourself when cooking and respecting common areas at all times. Leave common ares (TV room, bathrooms & kitchen etc..) as tidy as possible.
- 9. Put out the kitchen garbage on a daily bases outside the flats (in the stree) to avoid odors – keep in mind that Cadiz is a warm place and food goes bad really quickly.
- 10. Turn off lights when not in use. Water & gas utilities should be used in a normal manner – think of the environment.
- 11. Respect the different cultures & opinions of all your flatmates.
- 12. Should you have any problems whatsoever with a flat mate, please contact us directly to express the problem.
- 13. Illegal activities recognized by the Spanish Law will not be permitted within the premises (this includes the use and consumption of illegal substances).
- 14. Animals are not permitted in the residence.
- 15. No parties, drinking gatherings etc. will be allowed in the flat.
- 16. If you decide to go out at nighttime try not to make noise when entering and leaving the residence, as other students might be sleeping.
- 17. When departing the residence please leave your key in the lock of your room – with the door open. Departing time of your room will be on a Saturday at 11:00AM. If you need or want to stay longer previously book it ahead of time in the administration office.
- 18. Please remember to empty your kitchen shelf & fridge of the food you are leaving behind.
- 19. Leave your room the same way you found it, pleas don't leave things behind; if not needed, please place them in the garbage.
- 20. If you lose a key or several keys you will be charged 7 euro per copy of the new key.
Please note that these are simple rules for all students to follow to make your stay in the residence the most enjoyable as possible. If for some reason a student breaks the rules he/she will be automatically expelled from the residence with no option to a partial or full refund.
Host family rules
- 1. Each student will get a set of two keys (family apartment door & front door)
- 2. The student will be on a full-board status (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
- 3. The student will have laundry services provided to him/her once a week.
- 4. Use of the phone for making phone calls is not permitted.
- 5. Use of the phone for receiving phone calls is permitted.
- 6. Please don't put any posters, stickers etc.. in your room or common areas.
- 7. You cannot invite outside people into the host-family for lunch/dinner OR overnight stays.
- 8. You have to understand that you are sharing an accommodation with a Spanish family; this means: cleaning after yourself, respecting common areas at all times. Leave common areas (TV room, bathrooms & kitchen etc..) as tidy as possible.
- 9. If you are not going to go for lunch or dinner TELL the family BEFOREHAND so they are not expecting you.
- 10. Bring your own bathroom supplies e.g. shampoo.
- 11. Turn off lights when not in use. Water & gas utilities should be used in a normal manner – think of the environment.
- 12. Respect the different cultures & opinions of your family.
- 13. Try to integrate as much as possible with the family and become not a guest but another member.<7
- 14. Should you have any problems whatsoever with your family, please contact us directly to express the problem.
- 15. If you decide to go out at nighttime try not to make noise when entering and leaving the house – always arrive in a proper matter think that they are a family.
